School-Aged, Preschool,& Pre-K Childhood Programs in Whispering Ridge, Omaha
Infant Care Rooms
At our Whispering Ridge, Omaha early childhood center, our three infant classrooms support your baby’s development at every stage:
- Infant 1: For ages 6 weeks to crawling, caregivers provide nurturing care, interactive play, and daily updates, with a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio.
- Infant 2: Crawlers to early walkers enjoy stimulating toys and exploration. Table foods are introduced with parental approval, maintaining the 1:4 ratio.
- Infant 3: Independent walkers thrive with activities like sensory play, art, and sign language to aid early communication, in a space designed for movement and learning.
Each classroom fosters growth, discovery, and milestones in a warm, caring environment.
Toddler Care Program
At Sprouting Minds, toddlers are grouped into two classrooms to support their development:
- Toddler 1: For ages 18 months to 2½ years, children explore colors, shapes, letters, and counting through songs, stories, art, and play. Teachers encourage sharing, turn-taking, and vocabulary growth. Potty training starts when your child is ready.
- Toddler 2: For ages 2½ to 3 years, children build on skills with hands-on art, group play, and small center activities. They learn responsibility and classroom routines while deepening their knowledge of basic concepts.
Transitions to the next classroom are based on each child’s readiness and developmental progress.
Our preschool classroom (ages 3–4½) provides a structured learning environment with group activities, hands-on experiments, art, games, and reading. With a 1:10 teacher-child ratio, children build foundational academic and social skills.
The pre-K classroom (ages 4½–5½) prepares children for kindergarten with a curriculum emphasizing independence, socialization, and academics. Taught by experienced educators with a 1:12 ratio, lessons incorporate weekly themes and engaging topics.
Both pre-K and preschool programs at our Whispering Ridge Omaha early childhood center feature learning centers for blocks, art, math, and more, offering children daily choices for exploration. Field trips and interactive activities further enrich their experience. Age transitions depend on readiness and development.
School-Age Programs
Our school-age program, designed for children up to 12 years old, provides a secure and stimulating space for before- and after-school care. We offer homework assistance, fun recreational activities, and opportunities to build skills in technology, art, and sports.
This program fosters independence, teamwork, and leadership through engaging, age-appropriate projects. By emphasizing character growth and community involvement, we help children grow into confident, well-rounded individuals ready to take on new challenges.
