Infants
Sprouting Minds Child Development Center has three infant rooms designed for different developmental stages.
Infant 1 Classroom: For infants 6 weeks old to when they begin crawling. Our pre-K caregivers create a nurturing environment, holding, singing, reading, and playing with the infants to stimulate their growth. With a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio, each infant receives individual attention. Our early childhood center staff keeps Westmont, Omaha parents updated on their children’s activities with daily communication.
Infant 2 Classroom: For children from the crawling stage to walking. This room is filled with stimulating toys in a soothing environment. With a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio, children start exploring table foods with parental approval.
Infant 3 Classroom: For walking infants becoming toddlers. This room offers ample space to move around and explore, with activities provided to help develop motor skills. Storytime, songs, art, sensory play, and sign language are integral parts of the day. The teacher-to-child ratio remains 1:4.

Toddlers
Our Westmont, Omaha, early childhood center toddler program is divided into two groups:
Toddler 1 Classroom: For children aged 18 months to 2 ½ years. With a 1:6 teacher-to-child ratio, this room introduces colors, shapes, letters, and counting through engaging songs, stories, art, and play. Potty training begins when the child and parent are ready.
Toddler 2 Classroom: For children aged 2 ½ to 3 years. Following a 1:6 teacher-to-child ratio, this room enhances recognition of letters, colors, shapes, and numbers through hands-on activities and art projects. Children start learning classroom boundaries and responsibilities.
Children transition between Toddler 1 and Toddler 2 based on their development, aiming for one year in each classroom before moving to preschool.
Preschool Classroom: For ages 3 to 4 ½ years. This room offers a structured learning environment with a 1:10 teacher-to-child ratio, featuring reading, group times, games, hands-on activities, experiments, art activities, and playtime.
Pre-K Classroom: For ages 4 ½ to 5 ½ years, preparing children for kindergarten with a 1:12 teacher-to-child ratio. The curriculum, written by a retired elementary school teacher, focuses on academics, independent skills, and socialization. Weekly themes incorporate a variety of learning topics.
Both classrooms have learning centers for reading, art, science, math, dramatic play, and sensory activities. Teachers rotate materials based on current learning themes, and field trips are offered.

School-Age
Sprouting Minds Child Development Center provides before-and-after school programs for children up to 12 years old, with full-day care during school breaks. The summer programs provided at our early childhood center serving Westmont, Omaha are packed with enjoyable activities to keep children engaged.
